“It made me wonder, does your intentions matter as much as your actions?” - @DoreenRainey https://doreenrainey.com/17 Click To Tweet

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve been thinking quite a bit about intentions.

I’ve come to realize that while intentions are important – the ultimate goal is to move from intentions to action.

We often intend to do so many things, whether it’s about our finances, our career, our relationships, but we failed to realize is that not every intention is worthwhile. Unless we commit to our intentions and actually take action, our intentions sometimes mean nothing. Though having intentions are important, it is not equally as important when you really act on it.

In this latest podcast episode, I explore the value of intentions and the role it plays in each area of our lives. I’m also challenging you to do a “gut check” on whether your intentions can be defined as “authentic” or “inauthentic”.

  • Where do I stand with my intentions vs my actions…. I think I’m right on point with both of them. When I set out to get something done. It get done and most of the times within the time frame.

    Thanks for sharing this Podcast.

I’m so sorry about the loss of your mom.

  • Wow! I loved how you broke this down! I have intentional actions and I’m driven but this really really defined it clearly! To the point I will do constant stop and checks to double check and let the rubber hit the road! That just takes it soo much deeper! I’m getting a new tablet and going back through my goal sheets my MAP and really question my intent! Not my heart but my intent!! It’s like you put the action glasses on ! Not just for me but with my tribe! Thank You!

  • Wow it did not take long to realize I’ve been playing myself. Some of my Intentions are just mind talk. I tell myself, I’m waking up at 7am to find myself negotiating about why I need to press Snooze on my alarm clock several-times now it’s 10am. After listening to this amazing Podcasts by Mrs.Rainey, I have admitted to the air talk I give to myself. NOW it’s time to be REAL WITH MYSELF. Fully committed to my Intentions. This will make my actions bolder than my Intentions.

  • Your Podcast on Intentions in Action… was a welcomed reminder that I have been habitually M.I.A. for my needs and goals… You helped me to realize I must put the oxygen mask on myself first (strengthen my mind, body and spirit) which will enable ME to become TRULY AUTHENTIC in EVERY AREA of my life!!!!

  • Doreen,

I am truly sorry for your loss. It really sounds like you have a great support system in place during this time in your life. I know this is WAAAY late but in my experience the late cards let me know that I was still in someone’s thoughts and prayers even after all the family and friends were back home and “settled” into their lives.
Just know it does get better with time.
