This past weekend, I hosted my 4th Annual Get RADICAL Women’s Conference and what an amazing experience. Special thanks to all the speakers that shared their wisdom, knowledge and insights.
The women who attended were absolutely amazing. I heard story after story of how the content they were receiving was having a profound impact on their lives. Attendees shared their breakthroughs, their a-has and their new goals with me throughout the weekend.
It was exciting to see the transformations and feel the energy of powerful women stepping into their authentic self and planning their future.
The General Session speakers spoke wisdom, experience and shared their journey of trials and triumphs. We laughed, cried and took lots of notes.
Monique Greenwood talked of the power of entrepreneurship and how she was determined to revitalize her New York neighborhood. She spoke about being patient – sharing the story of having a real estate deal fall through for her business, only to make that same deal years later and paying only half the price she would have paid if the deal had gone through the first time.
Ali Brown shared that the times that we live in offers tremendous opportunity, but it’s our lack of courage that prevents us from taking advantage of all the opportunities that are available to us. We must be willing to face our fears and step up to receive all that life has to offer.
Suze Orman shared her story of being a waitress at 30 to becoming the most respected voice in personal finance. She talked about specific steps we must take to ensure that we are financially secure and that we already have the inner strength to accomplish what we want – with our money and in our lives.
Jillian Michaels took questions from the audience and talked about moving past fears – doing what we already know to do. She encouraged us to be persistent – no matter how many times people tell us that “we can’t” or they tell us “no”.
Christine Jones shared her powerful story of learning what she was good at and how she parlayed that into a very fulfilling career.
Lisa Nichols talked about being bold about going for what you want and staying out of mediocrity and moving into excellence. She also shared the need to not let what other people think keep you from doing what’s in your heart.
