[VIDEO] Are You Ready to Step Out of Your Circle?

Love, love, love this demonstration on how to step out of your “status quo” circle and into your RADICAL revolution.  Recorded live at my Get RADICAL Women’s Conference, I actually had some help in this video when some attendees came on stage to help me bring my presentation to life.

We take a look at the biggest obstacle to making real, lasting, significant changes to reach your goals by focusing on the following:

1. The power of your circle and what does it mean.

2. The amazing influence you have to not only change you – but to also inspire those around you.

I would love to hear your thoughts. Please leave a comment below and share your biggest take-a-way.

Let’s Talk About Your RADICAL Revolution

2013doreenstageSince the Get RADICAL Women’s Conference over a week ago, I’ve had the pleasure of talking with many people about creating their own RADICAL Revolution and how my role as a coach and mentor can empower and equip them to make significant shifts with their personal or entrepreneurial goals. Through these conversations, I’ve discovered that many people have never worked with a coach and are curious about how the coaching process works, how coaching accelerates success and whether or not working with a coach is right for them.

At the conference, I shared how coaching and mentoring is a powerful, transforming process that allows you to deepen the learning about who you are and what you want to accomplish as well as to move forward, with confidence, in the action steps needed to make “it” happen. I talked about the RADICAL Revolution Coaching Programs and that the curriculum and structure of these programs are based on four foundational pillars – Education, Training, Coaching & Support.

Who Are You Sleeping With?

magicjohnsonThis week, I watched a profile on the business success of basketball superstar Magic Johnson. During an interview with his mother, she recalled buying him a basketball at a very young age – barely in elementary school. She said he took that ball everywhere.

He got up early in the morning and took shots before school started. He took the ball to class with him and he was often seen playing in the afternoon.

One day, a neighbor asked his mother, “does he sleep with that ball?”. And guess what the answer was? You got it! YES!

Each night, he went to bed – not just with a ball – but with his dreams. I’m not necessarily saying he went to bed focused on being the best player in the NBA or winning multiple championships for the L.A. Lakers or coupling his sports career with his business aspirations (even though he very well may have been). I simply mean that he went to bed with something that he loved on his mind. Something in him believed that keeping it close to him mattered.

Who are you being when you go to bed?

Living the Good Life

corevaluesIf you watch most shows on television – including the news, read a variety of magazines or talk to most people, there’s a generally accepted definition of what it means to live “the good life”.

Society typically dictates that material success is a strong indicator of whether you are living “the good life”. It’s usually based on things like:

  • Where do you live?
  • What do you drive?
  • Where do you work?
  • What do you wear?
  • How many vacations do you take a year?
  • Where do you vacation?
  • How big is your bank account?
  • Where did you go to school?

Now, there’s nothing wrong with having a nice home, the car of your dreams, vacations that excite you and money in the bank, but is that an indicator of whether you are living a “good life”?

How Do You Feel About Money? It Matters.

PsychYourselfRichbookcoverWhat if experiencing financial security had less to do with how much you make and more to do with you your mindset, discipline, and spirit you need to build a strong financial foundation so you can grow wealth on your own terms, without fear, anxiety, misery, boredom, or even advanced math! What if the RADICAL Revolution you want in your finances doesn’t begin with your bank account, but with what’s between your ears?

In Psych Yourself Rich, by Farnoosh Torabi, she explores the idea that after we get all the information about how we should manage our money, we may still make decisions that hinder our financial success – living within our means, limited our credit card balances, saving for our future and being secure during retirement. She encourages us to examine not what we know about money, but how we feel about money and our relationship with it.
