Blowing Your Mind

I love to get my mind blown! And you know what? You should too!

Let me explain.

Many of you have heard me talk about the best advice I have gotten – which is you don’t know what you don’t know.

We are all limited to believe, take action and set and accomplish goals based on what we know. But there are some things that we don’t know we don’t know – and because of that, we lack critical information that has the ability to take us to a higher level of success. We have no idea what questions to ask, what information to gather or where to get new insight because we literally don’t know what vital piece of information we don’t have.

When I find out something I didn’t know I didn’t know – I call it “getting my mind blown” – which means my eyes have been opened to new possibilities – to new opportunities – and to new ways of doing more, having more, being more and giving more. I literally say “I didn’t know THIS was how I could do it” or “I had no idea THAT was possible” or “I didn’t realize THIS was what I should have been doing to reach that goal”.

This past weekend, I hosted my 4th Annual Get RADICAL Women’s Conference and what an amazing experience. Special thanks to all the speakers that shared their wisdom, knowledge and insights.

The women who attended were absolutely amazing. I heard story after story of how the content they were receiving was having a profound impact on their lives. Attendees shared their breakthroughs, their a-has and their new goals with me throughout the weekend.

It was exciting to see the transformations and feel the energy of powerful women stepping into their authentic self and planning their future.

The General Session speakers spoke wisdom, experience and shared their journey of trials and triumphs. We laughed, cried and took lots of notes.

Each year at the Get RADICAL Women’s Conference, we recognize those women accomplishing extraordinary self-defined success. One of the awards we give is the RADICAL Impact Award.

This award is given to the woman who has not only overcome challenges and achieved a high level of success, but has touched the lives of many and has had a positive impact on her community.

She has been recognized in her chosen profession and garners great respect from her peers – both inside her industry and out. She is an inspiration to many and a positive role model. Lisa Price, Founder of Carol’s Daughter, is a shining example of what this award represents.

Having been to many conferences, workshops and motivational events, I hear the word POWER all the time. I’m told to “step into my power”, to “own my power”, to “not give away my power”, and to “embrace and exert my power”.

Well, that all sounds well and good – but HOW do you do that?

None of us want to walk around powerless – giving in to others when it doesn’t serve us, having people take advantage us, or convince us to do things that we really don’t want to do. But yet, we see it all the time.

So how can we fully embrace the catch phrases and the overused quotes about power and truly live in a state where we have goals and work to make them a reality?
