We’re wrapping up the first week of the “Back to Me” 28 Day Challenge. This challenge is all about focusing on our top priorities, getting back on track or starting something new – something we’ve always wanted to do.
It’s exciting to be taking this journey with so many of you. Some of you have been focusing on your health by working out and eating better, others have decided to laser in on their relationships – communicating, respecting and cherishing each other more and some of you have decided to evaluate the influencers in your life and decide whether they are full of support and positivity or complaints and pessimism.
For me, I’ve been focusing on taking better care of me – getting back to exercise, eating better and getting enough sleep!
One of the revelations I’ve had in this first week is that no matter what your challenge focus is – it really boils down to one thing: LOVE.
What kind of love? The love for self!
Isn’t that what we’re all doing? Getting back to loving ourselves enough to to do the things that REALLY allow us to be our best selves?
As we move into week 2 of the challenge, here are a few tips to help you continue with your goals, stay true to your priorities and to keep loving yourself:
- Carve out time for you: ask yourself every morning “what do I need to do today to take care of me?”
- Give yourself permission to say no to anything or anyone that doesn’t align with you continuing to reach your challenge goals.
- Track your progress and celebrate small successes.
- Allow yourself some “grace”. If you get off track or behind, simply get back on track and continue moving forward.

The 28 Day Challenge seems solid, but many things people try to sell you do seem that way at first.
